The daily
activities and curriculum will be scheduled to benefit children
socially, emotionally, academically, physically, and spiritually.
Here is an
example of what a daily schedule might look like:
3:00-3:15 pm
Arrival/Free Play
3:15-3:30 pm
Worship and Devotion
3:30-3:45 pm
Free Time and Snack
3:45-4:15 pm
1st Rotation - Children will choose:
1- Quiet
Play (Board Games, Video Games, Computer Lab, Arts and Crafts,
Reading)
2-
Kinesthetic Play (Gym, Ball Field, Playground)
3-
Pick-of-the-Day (Periodic Activities that change from day to day)
4:15-5:15 pm
Homework/Tutoring/Free play
5:15-5:45 pm
2nd Rotation (Same Options)
5:45-6:00 pm
Clean up and prepare for pick up
6:00 pm
Deadline for Pickup
- There will
also be guests (biweekly or so) that will come in to do brief
programs with the kids. (e.g. Fire Safety, Bullying, Cyber-Safety,
Arts, Music, Dance, etc.)
- The curriculum will also
include work projects and opportunities for children to earn accolades
and awards and gain positive reinforcement and esteem building through
personal accomplishment.
